Old Lazy Dog brings a different view of faith, life, and the struggles we face in the marketplace and our day to day lives…while we strive to go deeper in our faith walk, put our faith to work, and see God at work around us on a daily basis.

“For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.” - Titus 2:11-14 NLT

When I was playing competitive sports, a whole lot of talking didn’t need to be done. Not a lot needed to be said. Very little of today’s trash talking was ever heard. After a hard fought battle, all that we usually had to do was look at the scoreboard and say/think

“ ‘Nuf said...“

And the winning team would walk toward and congratulate the other team and head home or on to whatever the rest of the day/night held. No matter how happy and excited we may have been about the victory, there was no chest pounding, no table jumping, no carnal screams from the bowels of our soul. Just a quick handshake and a “Good job” or “Good luck.”

“ ‘Nuf said…”

As I read this morning’s passage in Titus and contemplate its tone, along with its simple message and clear directive, this is what comes to mind…

“ ‘Nuf said…"

That’s it. It says it all right there. Let this passage seep into your very soul. Allow it to guide who you are and who you are becoming in Christ.

Keep the faith... Carpe Diem
