“This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. Oh how important it is for us to SHINE

Charlie Peacock, in his song “In The Light” (later made famous by DC Talk), says this great prayer for you and me:

“I want to be in the Light as He is in the Light. I want to shine like the stars in the heavens. O Lord, be my Light and be my Salvation. All I want is to be in the Light.”
