Old Lazy Dog brings a different view of faith, life, and the struggles we face in the marketplace and our day to day lives…while we strive to go deeper in our faith walk, put our faith to work, and see God at work around us on a daily basis.

Attempt?

Attempt?

“I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content—whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

- Philippians 4:12-13 HCSB

Today's Old Lazy Dog blog is really just a question once proposed by Robert Schuller:

"What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?"

Initially, I was quick to respond. But then, as I deliberated and really thought through it, my mind and heart were pricked...

Sometimes... We have to be like Peter and step out of the boat, eyes solely focused on Christ, and walk on water.

It's only when we take our eyes off of Him and begin to focus on our circumstances that we find ourselves thrashing about in the water.

All too often we allow others to steal our dreams, squash our passion, diminish our purpose... whether in jealousy, in ignorance or in untruth...

You know your gifts. You know your strengths (and your weaknesses).

You know God has a plan.

So I'll ask it again...

"What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?"

Keep the Faith... Carpe Diem
