Old Lazy Dog brings a different view of faith, life, and the struggles we face in the marketplace and our day to day lives…while we strive to go deeper in our faith walk, put our faith to work, and see God at work around us on a daily basis.

In This Time...

In This Time...

There seems to be a lot of fear and anger in America these days, especially in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the continuing Covid pandemic, political unrest and infighting, the rising cost of a gallon of gas and overall inflation, and racial tension and distrust, to name a few.

We must remember God’s promises. We must remember that God is bigger than the aforementioned...
Bigger than any war or potential war…
Bigger than anything else for that matter.

Choose worship over worry.
Choose faith over fear.
Choose peace over panic
Pray that God will protect our nation, our families and us as individuals.

As believers, we have a divine opportunity to display to the world how to respond rather than react.

As followers of Jesus, we must take to heart God’s Word in 2 Chronicle 7:14 “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

And the words of Isaiah..
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10 NIV

In this time... be reminded that we are never alone
In this time... be reminded that we are more than conquerors
In this time... be reminded of His grace and mercy
In this time… be reminded of your faith and the hope that it brings
In this time... be reminded to live what you say you believe.

In this time… “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.” - Proverbs 3:5-6
