Chamber Days

Chamber Days

Chamber+Days.jpg

After the wind and the rain that filled our area for the last few days and weeks, this weekend was absolutely beautiful.

Cloudless blue skies. Light breezes, Temperatures that were just right. Chamber of Commerce days, if you would.

On days like those, we have a moment to forget about the reality we’re living in at this time... a moment to escape the news, social media and the junk of this world... even if just for a moment.

On days like those days, it’s easy to see the fingerprints of God.

Easy to see His beauty in His creation. Easy to see his strength in the greening mighty oaks. His creativity in the palet of colors He used in the flowering trees and the blooming flowers.

However, on those days, in those moments, it’s easy to worship creation instead of worshiping the One who created it. It’s easy to worship the sun instead of worshiping the Son of God.

On days like this past weekend, when the fingerprints of God are so evident, be reminded of who He is and what He has done for us through His creation… and on the cross.

And worship.

Praise the Lord.
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord.” - Psalm 150 NIV
