Old Lazy Dog brings a different view of faith, life, and the struggles we face in the marketplace and our day to day lives…while we strive to go deeper in our faith walk, put our faith to work, and see God at work around us on a daily basis.

In a day and time when Paul felt the need to remind (rather directly) the Believers in Corinth about immorality, he ends his direction with today’s verse:

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV

In a day and time when black and white have become gray. When right and wrong have seemingly flip-flopped. When righteousness is heavily scrutinized and immorality seemingly accepted, ignored… even cheered, Paul’s reminder to the Corinthians rings loud and true for us. For us as the church. For us as a nation. For us as a people.

We are not our own. We have been bought at a price. The blood of Jesus Christ.

It saddens me to know that my children (as well as Amy and I) are growing up in such a time as this. My prayer is that they (and we) will be bold in their faith, standing strong in the Light that guides them in all their life choices... for such a time as this.

May our temples shine for all the world to see… illuminated by the power, by the blood of Jesus.

Keep the Faith... Carpe Diem
